A senator celebrating the murder of political opponents should be expelled. Not debated. Not excused. Expelled.

The stupidest people are in charge because we couldn’t prosecute a political crime because it would look too political.

It's interesting how the "American conservative movement" in the 1970s and 80s mashed together "leave me alone to do whatever I want" libertarianism with an evangelical movement premised upon the idea that "it is our entire job in the world to never leave you alone until you act & believe as I do."

I just like to post these data from time to time to puncture the mythological aura of mid 20th c protests. They were less popular than pretty much any 21st c mass action & people criticizing them used the same lines. Protest is about people coming together, shaping narratives, & building power.

Very statesman-like, not at all authoritarian. www.dailykos.com/stories/2025...

Another example of the right wing media machine selectively presenting and then twisting “evidence” into their strategic frames. This is how they work ALL THE TIME. As soon as an event happens, it’s all hands on deck to assemble evidence to fit their frames.

We’re repeatedly told that only private industry can do things efficiently, but it’s good to see that a quasi-public CEO can still pull themselves up by the bootstraps and somehow find meaningful work in the private sector… and not just a job screwing together phones.

Always! Why are they ALL so afraid of him that they never can just say no, the ruling stands?

The gaslighting here is off the charts. With a quiet, moderated voice, measured cadence, and downcast eyes, Johnson will gladly facilitate the disintegration of our government.

“What Senator Alex Padilla did today was political theater.” --Kristi Noem, the Head of Costuming, Hair, and Makeup at Political Theater

Senator David Padilla should not have attempted to politicize DHS Secretary Kristi Noem’s press conference announcing that the federal government would liberate Los Angeles from socialism. Tomorrow in the New York Times

The NYT is scared of Trump, so they are lying. This is what happens at the beginning of fascist regimes, when opposition is still legal but the threat of punishment is looming.

Again: Dems: stop treating public opinion like a static thing to respond to! Zaller told us decades ago that YOU… YOU are the biggest predictor of public opinion/awareness. YOU frame the moment for us. Journalists look to YOU. They need YOU to signal strength and opposition everywhere all the time.

"[Randy] Newman’s flirtation with Communist Albania didn’t yield an anthem, but it left behind a revealing Cold War artifact." This piece, you guys.

Really? He couldn’t find that many actual people? “Smith didn’t face much competition in his re-election bid, but state law required him to gather 527 signatures from registered Republicans in his district to qualify for the ballot. Smith turned in a total of 826 signatures”

Hypocrisy. Leave it to Leavitt.

For thought leaders who want to move fast and break things, what can be done about laws that get in the way? These tech moguls have some ideas.

A $10.4K 48,000-mile Renault Le Car might sound like serious coin, but it’s in serious like-new condition, too.
