I'm lucky enough to live in a city with a few good independent / local kitchen stores. And hardware stores tend to have decent kitchen stuff as well.

Uno (or Patrick or whomever else is responsible) didn't include the post-show in the VOD this time. I'm disappointed.

Sky-Byte, it pains me to say.

I wish DC would create its movies like they created their comics in the 1960: the editor would design a crazy cover, and challenge the writer to come up with a story that fits.

I honestly don't know whether these companies think they can turn a profit by buying a well-liked outlet, firing every writer that made the site well-liked to begin with, and replacing them with "assistants to the Managing A.I.", or if it's some sort of publishing cartel initiation ritual.

This is where the first platypus came from.

It still has a long way to match the debacle that was Mattel's purchase of The Learning Company in 1999.

I loved the first five seasons. But I was much less fond of the later seasons after they introduced Poof.

Duckie is an absolute disaster of a human being, with huge feelings that he is completely ill-equipped to manage. I have a lot of empathy for people like that.

When I first watched "Pretty in Pink" (while in my early 20s, circa ~2005) I absolutely loved Duckie as a character. But I 100% never thought that he "deserved" to win Andie's heart. (I was shocked to find out that he DID in the original script. Baffling.)

Best wishes for the strange waters ahead. I'm sure that something better is waiting at the end.

I think this means that the class is so overcrowded that some of the kids have to sit on the teacher's desk.

Nice! It's been a long time coming for DS9 to get a compact and affordable full-series DVD set.

I love that our language has a name for every little stellar event. It's a real sign that, before we had movies and TV, people spent a whole lot of time staring at the sky.

I hope the Vatican doesn't accidentally choose a pontiff with only 0.9 Stamina recovery.

Nathan Fielder also did a SCATHING rebuke of Paramount+ on last night's episode of "The Rehearsal".

As good as that Sasquatch match was, it couldn't live up to the testicular torsion from Mystery Wrestling 7.

At that point, you may as well go with "xylophone".

When I was a kid, I had an animal alphabet book where X was "xenopus" (a kind of frog or toad). I always respected that.

Yeah. I think Skyrim's straightforward narrative was a big part of its success, but I'm not sure if audiences would embrace an equally bland sequel.

Gimme a damn house and maybe I'll consider having a kid or two.

I was saying that welding IS an advanced skill, but I can see the ambiguity in the sentence now. Cheers.

And the ones that don't require advanced skills (like welding) tend to pay about the same as a retail or service job.

What's funny is that some of these bands would have been derided as "old farts" even at the original Riot Fest.
