I agree, but I propose what they've convinced their voters is "if you can't understand a topic, it's someone else's fault." How can I reason with someone who's talking about tariffs if that person doesn't know what the word "tariff" means? And when I try to explain it they call me elitist?

I don't think it's that simple. Donny has excelled at finding stupid shit to distract the masses from what matters. These people who couldn't hope to understand foreign policy or economics are suddenly "paper straws ARE annoying!" Or "I don't know what to do about Israel but I LOVE cheap eggs!"

I'm not sure what types of games you play, but I believe firmly there's no such thing as cheating in a single-player game. Who's getting cheated? The computer? You, for having more fun? I will die on this hill.

Also the book where when a woman is r*ped she has to marry her r*pist. No "Christians" ever talk about that one.

Coincidentally I worked for MS Support for many years. This doesn't surprise me at all. Years ago they gutted support and turned it into a profit centre, meaning it's shamefully understaffed and underfunded by design. The aim is to charge you an infinite amount for zero service. Pure profit!

Related: gaming companies thinking escalating difficulty is the only possible game mechanic. That was invented in the days of Pacman when escalating difficulty was the only way for replayability in a game with a single map. Give me a compelling world to explore where discovery IS the mechanic.

Equally weird how so many people who voted for him justified it by saying "Well I don't he'll do THAT thing, which is of course horrible. I think he'll do THIS TOTALLY OTHER THING instead, which would be great!"

Maybe he meant COBALT. Back in the old days. When we programmed on the periodic table. I once wrote an infinite loop with Plutonium and 3 people died.

I've always believed this, but recently I doubt, as I see those pursuing their faith to "harm nobody" being steam-rollered by others using their faith to "harm anyone who doesn't look or sound like me." If we show absolute tolerance to the intolerant, the tolerant will become extinct.
