Do we not remember when Neville Chamberlain returned from the Munich Conference in 1938 after agreeing to Nazi Germany taking the Sudetenland part of Czechoslavkia waving a white handkerchief and declaring, 'peace in our time'. We want peace but surely not rewarding naked aggression?

I would love to visit the Gulf of Mexico James and an independent Panama and Canada - all independent of the USA and any imperial and colonial ambitions.

I want to hear your views on Ukraine James. Are they about to be sold down the river? The LibDem leader, Sir Ed Davey, asked an important question yesterday in PMQs, concerning Ukraine. Surely if Ukraine is let down by USA then how do we respond to China and 🇹🇼 Taiwan?

Can the USA still be regarded as the leader of the democratic free world?

As a pacifist I oppose all killing especially killing by the state. No one has the right take another person's life and that includes the state. If the state says it is wrong to kill another person; the state must not kill another person.

I see Reeves wants development in the South East between Oxford and Cambridge which already has greater wealth than the rest of the country but nothing for us in the North. Always London and the South East.

What difference? Greens want a wealth tax and increase tax on the rich and super rich, care for the environment, action on climate change, defence of bio diversity,no build on the green belt, no airport expansion, more regulations to protect consumers, rejoin the EU... Green and 2nd choice LibDem.

We need to rejoin the European 🇪🇺 - the Greens want it as do Plaid, SNP, Alliance. The LibDems want a customs Union with the European 🇪🇺 but Starmer's Labour - no.

Is that it?
No mention of Brexit...the fundamental brake on growth yet Labour are terrified to even mention it for fear of a nasty headline in the Express/mail/Telegraph.
Hopeless. Farage it is then as next PM.

Well said. There is little difference if any between Labour and the Tories - or even Reform!

Our Home Secretary in Italy in talks with the far right PM over immigration. Why is Labour not opening safe routes for asylum seekers. I welcome all migrants, asylum seekers and refugees. Labour must not compete with the far right over immigration.

What about we pensioners? What about the Waspi women? Why no wealth tax? Bring back Jeremy Corbyn.

Yes it will - I've heard all that a vote for Green is a vote for the Tories blah blah.. I'm fed up with that. Green gained several seats because folk voted Green. What's the difference between Labour and the Tories anyway?

Had to switch off. There’s only so much “growth” I can take. It just sounds silly now. At least it seems to have replaced “AI”.

Well said. We have a huge disparity of wealth and power I this country. How does extending airports help the poor or the environment or our global climate change?

Growth at all costs. That will hurt net zero, it will likely further enrich already rich people.
But will it help the rest of us?

Is Labour making the same mistake Biden did-concentrating on abstract concepts like growth rather than money in people’s pockets/actual visible improvements to public services?
What about Thunberg’s warning of 10 years (now 5) to save the planet? Growth isn’t a panacea. Green growth not any growth.

I've moved from Labour to the Greens. I will never vote Labour again. We need no airport expansion and no ruining the Green Belt. Tax the rich including a wealth tax and a land tax.
comment in response to

We need a redistribution of power and wealth starting with a wealth tax. We also need Green policies such as no airport extension or building over the Green belt. We also need more regulations not less to protect consumer rights and health and safety. Doncaster Airport should remain closed.

And millions do need it and are talking about heating or eating!! Universal welfare is vital and no means testing!! Corbyn achieved more votes than Starmer - more and more are turning against Starmer's Labour!!

? Austerity? Taking the winter fuel allowance away from pensioners. Rejection of electoral reform and rejoining the EU. Glad I voted Green. More and more are turning away from Starmer's Labour.
comment in response to

Remember Starmer and his rather right wing Labour government received fewer votes than Jeremy Corbyn. We need a Green Socialist government. Ask the pensioners how they feel losing their winter fuel allowance and now the Waspi women.
