…goal of this mission is to let the Trump administration, to let the government of El Salvador know that we are going to keep fighting to bring Abrego Garcia home until he returns to his family,” Van Hollen has said.

I think my post mentioned that contempt can be civil?
Otherwise good points, thank you.

Sanctions for criminal contempt are in a legal grey area: like but also not quite like penalties for breaching the criminal law.
Unsure where they fit within a general scheme of pardons.

English lawyer here.
As criminal contempt does would this fall within the scope of things that can be pardoned by the president? I understand that civil contempt cannot be pardoned.
Is criminal contempt also outwith the president's power to pardon?

As regards Vance’s content about “due process” it is, in the great words of Wolfgang Pauli:

Such a lovely station.
Almost as if it has run away from a quaint model railway and ended up lost amongst the concrete junction.
Often go the longer, more pleasant Moor Street-Marylebone route, partly to see those two stations (and avoid the hated Euston).

Aston Villa 4 - 5 Paris St-Germain
Not bad against probably the best team in Europe.
Well done Villa. So very proud.
