Just go to the bottom chat on Jeff Wise's substack, and you'll see posts there from today

We're having a chat right now on Jeff Wise's substack, if you'd like to check that out.

The main point for me is that the data may very well have been spoofed, and this has to be taken more and more seriously the longer they can't find the plane in the SIO.
comment in response to post
The Baikonur Cosmodrome could've provided sufficient light etc, no?
comment in response to post
Jeff Wise came up with calcs that got it there with enough fuel to spare. It's in his 2nd MH370 book. Whether the calcs are accurate and realistic, I wouldn't know, I haven't personally checked.

Check Baikonur, Kazakhstan.

That's what happens without a girdle and jacket?
comment in response to post
I suppose sometime in November, perhaps even Nov 30, is the end of the year. Perhaps he's even taking a bit of a margin. That's the end though of a larger vessel coming this season.

Whenever the plane will be found depends on the result of the search?! Kaye Russell Transport Minister Loke Siew Fook: Climate impact will suspend search for #MH370 and restart at the end of the year 2 April 2025 (Google Translated from Chinese to English) www.sinchew.com.my/news/2025040...

Thx for these updates. Good to know that they're absolutely consistent with what Kevin Rupp has been saying.
comment in response to post
If anybody has a reliable source, it's Kevin, not them by the looks of things.
comment in response to post
Maybe there were sources, but they can't be very good. Whether Godfrey actually has any sources, well ... And it's funny that they received an email a couple of weeks ago from OI, and nobody else seems to having much direct contact with them.
comment in response to post
This was in relation to what they were generally saying in their videos, like OI consider a 90% (or perhaps it was 95%) chance that no search will be carried out this season, 78 08 is the designated ship etc. Thomas made reference on more than one occasion that they both had their sources.

2/2 couple of weeks back. Perhaps Thomas has weak sources, and Godfrey is just BSing.
comment in response to post
1/2 Just seen this. They have said in videos that they individually have their own sources, and together at least, they purport to have sources at both OI and the Malaysian Government. I would need to find this in their videos! And they claimed to have received an email from OI themselves a
comment in response to post
Btw I've just realised that it's incredible that neither Godfrey's nor Thomas's impeccable sources, at both OI & Malaysia, informed them that 06 would not finish the season. They'll probably have the audacity to return on Sun for their next episode and say that they knew all about this all along!

Ben John 103m vessel 'Island Pride' has all the 'fruit' & room onboard for more specialists. However, I'm thinking @Ocean__Infinity would like to first trial a new Armada 86m vessel in #MH370 search then maybe use Island Pride for any debris recovery. oceaninfinity.com/island-pride/

I've sent everything by email, as it looks like Bluesky has attachment limits.
comment in response to post
I've just put everything quickly into my own words, but here's the various tweets from Kevin (in no particular order, sorry). Just in case you want this accuracy for your next video.
comment in response to post
I would take that what is on both the email and on your substack as factual (or certainly very reliable). It's not speculation, but information passed to Kevin. And I've just passed on what he's said publicly on Twitter.
comment in response to post
He's in the know, meaning that he has knowledge of what's going on re the search, rather than just speculating.
comment in response to post
Since I wrote the message saying that Kevin could be speculating, basically, it does seem that he is in the know.
comment in response to post
8601 has a destination of Cape Town in the AIS, but I'm sure Kevin will be right.
comment in response to post
I don't know whether the bigger boat is factual though, or whether Kevin is surmising. A bigger boat would allow a faster coverage rate, as I assume it takes more than 3 AUVs.
comment in response to post
As for a bigger boat right now, Kevin has said ... "8601 is headed to Europe. 8602 on the other hand, just finished sea trials and is in Vietnam."
comment in response to post
It appears that both Kevin and Mike think it's over for this season. I'd been hoping that they could've gone for a phase 3 via Freemantle. Kevin's latest: "The search is not over. However, it “may” be delayed until the spring down there. Also, they want a bigger boat."
comment in response to post
Mike Exner It looks like OI is done for the season. A7806 is now headed for Singapore. Destination: SINGAPORE ETA: 08/04/2025 09:00:00 +00:00 Draught: 5m MMSI: 563198900 IMO: 9924297 Callsign: 9V8703
comment in response to post
It would appear that they're currently searching/surveying less expansively - perhaps they're prioritising a narrower higher probability strip prior to heading off to Singapore/Freemantle?
comment in response to post
Of course! The question is whether there's any chance of carrying out a restock & crew change in Singapore instead, but it's not a good sign. OI may have been "playing around" with the destination simply because they hadn't yet decided.

Kevin Rupp AUV missions can run up to 4 days and the initial review of the data can take the same amount of time.

I was just concerned that a WSPR debate could result on substack, but I think it's well worth posting this WSPR video there - I'll fire it over there.
comment in response to post
Mike Exner commented on that WSPR video. "This video is outstanding. Must see."
comment in response to post
Btw I haven't been sending any WSPR posts to your substack. If you want me to send posts there dispelling WSPR, just let me know.
comment in response to post
Victor Iannello Steve Kent has published an excellent video explaining why WSPR tracking of MH370 is complete rubbish. He supplies the scientific rigor that is absent in the WSPR proponents' papers. m.youtube.com/watch?v=_Uil...

2/2 they're probably just repositioning, as you say. Hopefully we'll get an update soon from Jay or Kevin.
comment in response to post
1/2 Yes, I feel the same. There's always some concern though (for me anyway) whenever they start moving at 7 or more knots. There was a time during this phase 2 when they were traveling at 7 kn, but were just repositioning. This however has got the attention of Jay Lowe for some reason, but
comment in response to post
If they're going directly north, then I wonder if they're checking somewhere in the highest priority area again?
