IMPORTANT: The Dutch invested €595 million annually on urban biking, resulting in €19 BILLION saved in public health care costs alone. That’s how smart govts do math on investing in better mobility. Let’s be clear — it wastes public money to NOT do it. #CityMakingMath HT @modacitylife.com

“In Finland, the number of homeless people has fallen sharply. Those affected receive a small apartment & counselling with no preconditions. 4 out of 5 people affected make their way back into a stable life. And all this is CHEAPER than accepting homelessness.”

Holds up! A month later we also know that transit ridership is up, business receipts are up, restaurant reservations are up, traffic deaths & injuries are down … 😘

Elon Musk is losing his mind over protests at Tesla dealerships. Why? His fortune is collapsing. Nearly all of it is Tesla stock. You know what to do, America. If you want to save our government from a coup, apparently the rebels’ weak spot is protesting and boycotting Tesla.

The Americans have a message for Pierre Poilievre. #cdnpoli #peipoli

Must watch war speech by Justin Trudeau. Few outside of Canada understand our combination of civility, empathy and steel in our spine - this speech explains all that. Not a foul word spoken. Not one inch of retreat. Long Live Canada Vive Le Canada #ElbowsUp www.youtube.com/watch?v=83f4...

“Now that I think about it, he [Pierre Poilievre] reminds me a lot of Ted Cruz.” That’s it. That’s exactly it. Now that I see it, I’m never going to be able to unsee it.

If you're wondering about the vibe in Canada right now, I just got served this ad for a brewhouse that is just a portrait of the White House being burned down. No text, just a bigass picture of the White House burning and a link directly to their menu lolol

You can’t overstate the historic importance of today’s speech to both American and Canadian citizens by Canada’s Prime Minister. Please watch it and share it wherever you live, but especially if you’re in the United States. You need to know what Trump is doing, and why. youtu.be/wz_42pckM7w

I think about this a lot in my town where we have a fantastic rail trail, but no on-road infrastructure. The rail trail goes downtown, but not to the office park, the mall, or several schools. Imagine how much more powerful it could be when actually connected to potential destinations.

It’s insane to think that the Trump administration was more welcoming this week to the Tate brothers than to the President of Ukraine.

It's here, the thread I was waiting for all day!

Hear that at the back? All. Road. Users.

Idiots online: "Yeah but US teams have won more Stanley Cups." Blah blah. This isn't about actual hockey, you dumb fucks. No thinking person actually gives two shits about comparing sports stats. It's about a fascist President using a single game to promote imperialist ideas, and failing. Get it?

5 days post storm, most bike lanes are not rideable, sidewalks on major routes like Harbord still unusable. Embarrassing. Who's up for a little community bike lane clearing Sunday?

The electric revolution has arrived, not on four wheels but on two.

It is perfectly legal to know your rights and to educate others about them, too. EVERYONE in the United States, citizen or not, has rights. I will not allow this administration to intimidate us from helping you know about them. Here’s our shareable guide ⬇️: (pt. 1/2)

There’s lots of snow expected this weekend and Toronto bike lane snow removal from the last storm is very very incomplete. Bloor St W just west of High Park. @cycletoronto.bsky.social PS is 311 on Bluesky?
