MTV Unplugged wasn't one guy playing songs on an acoustic guitar like he was in a coffee shop. It was three or four dudes on acoustic guitars, plus drums, tambourines, cowbells, violins, accordions, flutes, washboards and multiple backup singers. It was an early version of the Polyphonic Spree.

On M-TV Unplugged with John Mellencamp, he has what looks like "fuck fascism" etched into his guitar. Maybe. It looks misspelled. Maybe it's "fuck PacSun" like that store in the mall. Either way, M-TV made him put on a sticker to partially cover "fuck."
