The op-ed does misrepresent the way endowments work. But despite restrictions on spending donor $, Columbia still had enough cash and other assets to stand up to Trump's illegal threat. It didn't lack $, it lacked courage. Sad for a school which used to boast about its tradition of social activism.

After Putin invaded in 2022, Dom publicly pressed Russian NHL players to speak out in support of Ukraine. Takes a lot of courage for a celebrity athlete to be that politically outspoken (just ask Colin Kapernik). And it's heartening to see him stand up against that murderous gangster Vlad.

1.Ceasefire talks were held with the country that is BEING ATTACKED and the country which ATTACKS was not even there. 2.The victims agreed not to defend themselves for 30 days if the aggressor agrees to not bomb them for 30 days. 3.And, now we are waiting for the aggressor to agree. Is this normal?
