Our county is red but Jonesboro, the county seat, is slowly trending blue. Not quite there yet but hopefully this is a good sign for the near future. We’re going to keep putting in the work though regardless!

Best to focus on the impact on the economy and regular Americans-planes crashing, Social Security checks at risk, VA staffing shortages, risk of identity theft, pointing out when their local communities or schools lose funds etc.

The most important thing we can do is find our voters & turn out as many as possible next year. If you or anyone else can find a way to get involved doing so (and there are multiple ways so find the one you do best) that will have the most impact in the end. The earlier we get started the better.

I keep going back to how much different 2024 could have been if they hadn’t killed the child tax credit, family and medical leave, 2K stimulus checks, etc.

As we say here in the south, you can lead a horse to water but you can’t make them drink. 🤷‍♂️

Yeah it’s not fair the other side can get away with being so awful, boo hoo, get over it-they’ve figured out how to exploit those perceptions to get away with it. We’ve got to offer people something better and live up to that standard if we’re going to break the hold of Trumpism.

Yes! There are a lot of us here fighting the good fight who could use some help. One key part of this should be investment financially in un-gerrymandering state legislative seats here. We have a lot to do beyond that but that would be a big help.

As a southern Democrat fighting the good fight down here I deeply appreciate this commitment and understanding of an important political reality. We have to fight in all 50 states and expand the map.

Now in fairness to Senator King, he’s promising a second “holistic” bill that sounds like it could do that. That’s the approach we need to make our state safer and better for everyone.

I’m of two minds on this. On the one hand, we can’t continue to retreat into increasingly diminishing bubbles. On the other, I’ve seen folks like Buttigieg do this and Fox takes the clips and misrepresents everything he said for days after.
