I agree with her generally, but would counter that Putin's ability to wage permanent grinding war is limited, and any upward escalation on his part would trigger currently unthinkable responses from a re-engaged Europe.

Yeah I'm tech forward and no Luddite. But there is no question that the root of *so* much of this is just online algorithms and the solipsism of smartphone usage.
