I gotta be honest I missed the loop on the taco thing and I think I ignored it on principle. Coincidentally I was wondering what I was gonna do for dinner and I think I have my answer now.

It's being aimed at Gridlife Street Class Time Attack. "i probably won't be the fastest, but I will be the silliest"

Currently neck deep in helping prep a 1G Talon TSI for road course shenanigans. Developing a new respect for how bad Mitsubishi goofed this one.

I made it most of my years not knowing what that was like until a few months back. I wish I could go back to not knowing. Thankfully I seem to have gotten it under control again lately by accident.

Damn you. I'm never going to be able to hear that any other way now.

I'd love to come help on a challenge car. Unfortunately it's a bit of a rebuilding year for me so not sure when I'd be able to make it out your way. Hopefully one day though.

The fact that I'm still trying to push towards an attempt at a career and helping friends plan race programs feels extremely pointless, but I'm running on pure false hope and spite at the moment. Don't give up but also definitely remember to take of yourself as much as you can.

I've just been told I'm sitting closest to Racoon Lake. And honestly I think Spirit of Racoon Lake might have to go on our list of lemons theme ideas.

I mostly say this because I'm also a big fan of pop music and don't ever see Morgan Wallen or however you spell that guy's name competing with the likes of Sabrina and Chappell.

Honestly as a big fan of traditional country I'm vaguely surprised it hasn't been separated off already. The better way to handle this though is admitting reality and making bro country compete with pop music in general.

I forgot it was this week then noticed 4 cars in one parking lot with the banners after seeing one in traffic yesterday.

I'm surprised how good that thing looks in plain silver honestly.

I may be at Mid O crewing for a friend in GLTC. Gotta work out some details on that one.

Seb's good people. I was Gridlife grid staff for years and ended up knowing him from being friends with Sundae Cuppers. His big Milwaukee impact is how I swapped the balancer on my stupid D series project a few months back.

Gonna end up like mad Max with just a few idiots like me keeping our clapped 20+ year old beaters going while Metra still can't do a schedule that works for my commute despite the fact that there's a train station right by where I work and where I live...

I knew I was right to not trust those things when I saw them in Phoenix a few weeks back.

"owning a 2nd vehicle is more wasteful to the environment" Ok but my used truck did not use any more resources to make it exist and V8 full size truck fuel economy definitely uses more resources to operate than the Hondas so it seems a lot more responsible to me to treat it like the tool it is...

I'm still getting replies on this comment. Today I've been told that my beater half ton sitting most of the time is wasteful but daily driving a $100k truck isn't.

He goes for a cruise. See's some girls in a car and decides to shoot his shot. Gets their teenage little sister dumped on him. And is then just like "I guess I'm hanging out with this kid keeping an eye on her until I find her sister again"
comment in response to post
So yes I want a stupid car because of a TV show I saw as a teenager. Again I totally get why Mopars are expensive now too.

And no I don't want to go drifting. I just want to build a Mako Sil-Eighty tribute as a fun street car.

I feel very happy about my streak of only visiting Texas friends in the winter. Hanging out at the kart track the day after Christmas in a t shirt is cool. They can keep that triple digit nonsense though.
comment in response to post
Apparently having a 20 year old beater half ton with liability insurance on it that I don't daily drive because I don't want to spend all that money on gas unless I'm towing means I must be rich.

I also don't perceive Miatas as anything but race cars and that is probably my error here.

We mentioned valid concerns about visibility and actually toxic fumes as well as the fact that your typical coal rolling diesel is actually running horribly and just wasting fuel. At which point he actually shut up and listened more than he talked.
comment in response to post
It was an interesting conversation actually because he started complaining about diesel emissions systems. And we spoke up shutting him down as two people with a fair bit of diesel experience and one of us even being a fleet mechanic for a certain public transit organizations bus division.

My buddy wanted to say we were boyfriends and walk out holding hands but we both decided we weren't in the mood to risk an actual fight.

Yeah turns out toxic masculinity is still really bad for everyone of all genders. And the quicker some men figure that out the easier it'll be for all of us to grow and be better humans. I'm sadly not holding my breath on that one though.

My other thought here is that trans men often don't fit what some of these people see as the mold of a "real man". But I'm a cis man quite comfortable in my identity and I don't fit that mold either. Because being able to do things like have feelings and show empathy for others is kinda nice.

Thick Kentucky accent and a tendency to talk fast when I'm annoyed or nervous here. Automated phone systems are hell for me.

Apparently last year Joey Lagano, who I only know for wrecking out Mark Martin that one time, got his only win of the season here. Which got him into the playoffs and then the championship? Y'all really need to fix your damn points system.

To start. We're doing a race at Nashville and instead of having an artist do the national anthem we have somebody from the marine corp band do it. And then follow that up with a Huey and Cobra flyover giving the same toxic nationalism vibes we saw from 90s races. I don't know why I'm surprised.
comment in response to post
And the bigotry. Basically just every kind of hate we can think of often comes from somebody with a bank owned sports coupe or lifted truck in their cover photo.

Man, I really need to up my flag game.
