Can’t say I’m normal but I had no idea. Didn’t occur to me we have any power over this or could remove ourselves. Can you post tips?

I like that you don’t think he’ll head the Wolves. As nice as that might be for Ant — depending on who’s lost — I don’t think it’d be the right fit for team dynamics. (In other words, this is all too stressful. 😬)

I think it’s because they’re finally realizing a lot of fans want to see this stuff, whether big fans or the opposite. The presentation of NBA games has been worse and worse in recent years — less and less focused on the actual games and players. Hoping this is a good sign. (YMMV)

That’s still rare tho? Re Andor: The user interface made it hard to find, so we didn’t spot it until we finished. It was displayed like a standalone show — not in the usual episodes/trailers/etc list. We’d looked there for a recap, lamented there wasn’t one, then started watching season 2. 😕

This is why I feel almost guilty. It’s a beautiful show I want to support, and I really liked season 1. But I couldn’t remember enough of the narrative — 1.5 years later — to dive in to season 2. I wish streamers would create a 15-20 min “previously on” for all complex shows, season by season.

Wow, I’ve never before heard of the dad species using these tools. I may adopt them for my own species. Could be a breakthrough.

Thinking the same thing, even as someone who thinks Bane’s really really good.

Thanks for this. I can’t interpret the map or its legend but wish I could. Does anyone know the takeaway for the Twin Cities area?

Is this the one that does fantastically over-the-top, room-by-room Christmas displays too?

Ha #2 is a perfect description. I’ve noticed a lot of those. Thanks. If you eventually hear about an extension or bsky tool that helps us identify bots, do share. Cheers.

A couple people with way more experience than me said some of the accounts with super high follower numbers + high following numbers are bots, and some are real people using starter packs they mass-share / mass-follow. (That concept barely computes to me the clueless newbie.) Hoping to discern. 🤷🏻♀️

The irony is that Slate itself has become the problematic content I avoid. Pure clickbait headlines. Headlines that imply a dramatic fact or controversy will be revealed, but the article is just a brief vacuous opinion. I’m sure good work happens there too, but it’s been lost in the slop for years.

Do you know if there’s a bot-detector tool for bluesky? It’s particularly hard to know which high followers+following accounts are real vs bot.

It’s just that it’s still such a small small area if thousands attend. And zero parking (tho good light rail). But hopefully it’ll all be fabulous. Added bonus: People will see there’s a new Playwrights Center about to open over there.

Right? Also, I love them but Circus Juventas too? Maybe they’ll spring forth from Caffe Biaggio.

Possibly dumb question but do you ever have to mow it? We seeded no-mow grass a few years ago but it hasn’t worked out that way. Wish I’d thought of seeding clover. Nicely done. ☘️

I’m grateful for CIDRAP’s work, AND I wish your communications about this were more direct. These headlines and sub-heads make people read between the lines. And crucially: Not everyone knows what you already know. Why bury the lede in dry academic bios?

Yeah it’s like he’s been hiding under a rock for 26 years, and also forgot his own TV show. Starting to look like a form of denial / justification for his own peccadillos.

Agree. And either way, though I often see younger Gens with deep resentment about housing costs, I don’t see them blaming Dems specifically. They blame the whole system. Hence broad apathy and distrust, and a craving for DRAMATIC political change. Beltway bubble Dems don’t seem to get this.

Glad to meet someone who knows the details! Minus the Brown bragging rights (which are massive), I’d exchange the last for the first. I was so young that I complained about James Brown. ‘He just keeps singing his name over and over.’

A close one is them being scandalized when Jerry made out with someone (?) during Schindler’s List. I don’t remember how specific they were about it though.
