But only for narrow profit. Universities have these libraries too and they are in most cases available to companies to sponsor research. Strange that people see strength as a weakness. People fail to see the interdependencies of our world-leading research ecosystem. Pharma & unis are complementary.

I don't. As a former Austinite, I can assure you Austin was better without Tesla, Musk, Facebook, Apple and Google. Dell is (barely) grandfathered in and at least Dell has invested in the city in some real ways.

I am a little disappointed my alma mater isn't on this list, tbh. Seems like a good time for all liberal arts colleges, esp financially secure ones, to step up in defense of 1st amendment rights.

Sotol is a tequila-like spirit produced from a distinct agave plant in the Chihuahuan desert (including parts of Texas and the American southwest). Look out for that.
