I think the Irish bouzouki is gonna end up being spelled bazouki to reflect it’s pronunciation. The Greeks pronounce the first two syllables the same whereas the Irish stress the second.

I hate to say it, but the left can be prone to this in Ireland. Each time FF/FG win AGAIN, there can be a tendency to blame ‘the system’ or corruption or each other, when the fact is that most Irish people still have a serious conservative streak in them, despite all the progress we’ve made.
