The job market has never been better for shills, stooges, and toadies of all stripes. Linkedin absolutely buzzing if you're a sycophant, a flunky, or even an unctuous little worm

Hey the worm already has a job he’s operating rfk, failing miserably but he’s trying. That handful of neurons still barely functional seem to think they’re running HHS.

a lot of connections have been shedding their masks on that platform. it's been stunning to see. the glee over the advent of a Patel confirmation was particularly disturbing. the techo-machista's feel empowered. we'll see...
Ugh. LinkedIn is the dullest environment for an artist. You could be screaming with your hair on fire and you'll just be met with stares from the office chairs.
Normally, I just have to block people who I link to who immediately message me with something that begins with "Dear..."; Lately, I've been blocking people who are 1) "just asking questions" and 2) shilling for Musk when they're not even on the payroll.
capitalism as an economic system compels us to exploit each other and ultimately the entire world to our collective detriment.
Is it any wonder that our society is empty, soulless, depressed, lonely and alienated?
That’s what I’m worried about, I follow a private professional group on Facebook and somebody on that group said hey let’s all go to LinkedIn. I feel like I should warn the group. I wonder if that person is even legitimately who they are or a fake account made in that person‘s name.
Think many of us have had tasters of this in the workplace; a new regime/ new boss and Jeff the not too bright clerk talks the talk, brings the boss flowers, and is soon comms (and possibly estates) manager. He's great at parroting the lines. More able staff get eased out but Jeff flourishes.
Exactly so. Ended up with a boss who got there that way. Told me that despite being widely respected for my technical capabilities I needed to learn how to engender trust to succeed. He lived in a mafia bubble and was inviting me in.
So true, bestie. I identify as all of these things and I literally can’t stop failing upwards. Got fired from my last job for cause and found a replacement job that paid $7/hr more like a week later
Ethics are a foreign concept to Trump, Musk, and the GOP.

He said their plans could crash the economy himself. They knew it would happen but it makes you wonder why they would do it. Possibly so oligarchs could consolidate assets, wealth and power, buying everything up cheap after a crash?
The plan is squeezing cash out of our nation and giving it to the country's wealthiest without regard to how many airplanes crash or children die from preventable diseases or how deep of an economic downturn we suffer as a nation.
Just Kidding's post: " for shills, stooges, and toadies of all stripes. Linkedin absolutely buzzing if you're a sycophant, a flunky, or even an unctuous little worm"
The job market, at least for some skillsets, is still good. While the investment is shifting around, there is still a lot of capital being spent (which helps me, but I know it doesn't necessarily help everyone). That said, there are ways other than LinkedIn to get jobs. I'm glad I got off of it.
Sorry for mismatching the tone. I agree with the original post, but wanted to encourage people who might feel that they really need to be on LinkedIn to find a new job.
That's a cynical view, but it's not entirely accurate. Many professionals use LinkedIn to showcase genuine skills and build meaningful connections, not just to curry favor.
I have gotten 10x more scam emails in the last month than I did between the election and the inauguration. The inauguration was like a bat signal for these leeches.
I was barely tolerant of influencers in general, but as they've started creeping onto LinkedIn, suddenly everyone is an expert ready to fix the "broken recruiting process." I'm 29 years in and barely had time to be active on socials because I was focused on my actual JOB.
If Trump turned around and acted like a dem right now, started doing for the people instead of the billionaires, his followers would be happy and say they told us so…and that would be fine with me.
Linkedin? That’s the place where wanna be super employees go to fellate their corporate overlords Isn’t it? Where you go show off the latest course you took, award, promotion? Where “congrats” fly often and freely? Where you sell your soul to corporate America? Yeah, I got one of those…
LinkedIn is nothing but a social media platform. It's not for a jobs. I have no idea why anybody has every thought of was anything but a social media platform. It bright it $2 billion in revenue for Microsoft last year. It's filled with influencers trying to make money.
Our Cult and Conspiracy Agency is currently accepting applications for grants. Protip: anything that makes SecBull a deity or conspiratorial mastermind will have the greatest chances of approval (also accepting unapologetic bribery).
Personal experience or something you read? Is it true? My private group has people asking to follow them on LinkedIn. Been seeing requests to follow people on LinkedIn where I thought it might be a scam.
The UK census data shows that as of 2021 there were 37,500,000 people of working age in the UK.
There’re 42,000,000 UK users on LinkedIn Feb 2024 - their figures. It seems unlikely that everyone in the UK aged 16-64 is on LinkedIn, with an extra 4.5 million for good measure.
That’s interesting! the post I saw about going over to LinkedIn—It looked like they were trying to recruit people in a certain work field, because it was a professional group they were infiltrating. I don’t even believe it was the person. I think it was a dummy account using her name to ask us.
I'm banking on patsy gigs.

In my country it works really well. It's a good platform for professionals to find each other, and it's useful to add a link to my linkedin page in job applications. There are bad people everywhere, but generally, linkedin is pretty good.
Well it’s a good thing Trump shipped out all the fruit and vege pickers and waitresses because all these engineers, lawyers and scientists are going to need jobs.
Hired Goons were once respectable well-dressed figures who would snatch their targets and then casually adjust their ties before nonchalantly fleeing the scene
I feel like a henchman is the bottom rung. A goon has to have some kind of skill they employ. Now, these days we all have an image of what that skill is, and that’s the problem for them.
