Found the time this weekend- I have seen a couple of the director’s other films and they are all equally weird

I got an email from my local shop today saying that they were going to expand certain sections like patterns and fabrics for dress making. It might be worth asking your local shops if they had considered carrying embroidery thread. I’m sure you aren’t alone.

It’s about community. You are inspiring people whom you most likely will never meet. All your efforts are welcome here

I’m so sorry. I’m so grateful for my group. Quit that group and find like minded quilters in your area. There are probably more than you think because they don’t join groups to avoid being the only liberal in the room.

I use Libby and just started using Kanopy as alternatives to Audible and Prime video. My local branch is nice and I should go more often. Libraries have always been a safe place for me

I assume you mean quiltcon. Despite consistently holding the convention in red states it is an oasis of open minded fiber artists and community. Of course listen to your gut.

It’s a log cabin variation- four identical blocks off set by the white block in the center. Each row is either 2.5 or 1.5 and composed of two fabrics. There is an alternate layout with four semicircles one on each side.

They really are. I also see quilting in odd places usually tile.

I love that fabric. I recently got some of it at a quilt group meeting. Excited to see what I come up with for it. My points are rarely matched 😂

Love this idea!

Right now I’m trying for a pleasing mix. I’ll probably rearrange the smaller rectangular blocks. I didn’t pay enough attention to tone to do proper gradient based layout

It’s so crisp. Amazing color choices

There is a pretty cool book of quilt patterns inspired by urban architecture. City Quilts by Cherri House

There is a film called Bent (1997) that focuses on this aspect of the Holocaust. Starring Clive Owen. It is based on a play, with screenplay written by the playwright.

Thanks it’s the second time using this technique- it’s worth the effort occasionally
