I definitely do not have an aversion to beards. My Dad has had one my entire life, and my husband has always had facial hair. Mr. Steinbrenner set a precedent way back that Yankee's would be clean shaven. And that's part of what set them apart. Caving to "potential" players won't make them better!

I actually do not like this. To me, it’s what made Yankees stand out. Grow a beard in offseason if you want. But on the field, be well groomed and clean cut. And don’t get me wrong, I have no aversion to facial hair at all, but I prefer the clean cut that old man Steinbrenner set in place.
