I'm sorry it doesn't work. It'll probably cheer some people up a bit.

Cold stratify them for 2-4 weeks. They require "winter" conditions to break seed dormancy. If you just sow them, germination rates will be much lower this year but may pop up next year. When you do sow them, remember they need light to germinate, so surface sow them.

Don't forget to add drought, floods, tornadoes, hurricanes, disease, and increasing pest/predator pressure.

🤣 That's the cake my sister bakes when she suspects I'm close to going scorched earth. Yes, cake makes it better.

I would say be happy for the moisture, but it doesn't help if your season is cut short by this nastiness late into spring. Your plants look great, but ready to get out. I'm so ready to evict everything in the guest room. We're almost there, but feeling pressure to get started this year.

I hoarded toilet paper pre-covid, so you know that habit was reinforced and continues. We took advantage of Back Friday sales and stockpiled towels, sheets, blankets, and other items we knew we'd need to replace in the next few years.

Yup, hand-made is not cheap if you want a quality product 🤣.

Yeah. That basket would end up housing my hand-knit socks, not groceries. I'd want it within eyesight and pristine. Great choices, though. re: mesh bags; contact local crafters. The bags work up quick. You'd be supporting locals too.
