Yesterday, student debtors went to DC to demand Biden cancel student debt. A 71 y/o woman joined us. No one from the Ed Dept would meet with her — or any of our older debtors. Her new loan statement was in the mail when she got home today. Her balance is $656,542.80. She borrowed ~$60k in 1985.

Brooks Institute was a predatory for-profit college who scammed and defrauded people—mostly veterans. Dan is one of those people who was defrauded. A few days ago, he was served with an eviction warning. Biden has the legal authority to cancel Dan's student debt.
