The Trump Organization has entered into real estate deals in all three countries Trump plans to visit this week wapo.st/3F11lnU

Well put. Sadly.

MPs! An important event on how our elections are at grave risk from foreign interference while Russia continues a campaign of sabotage across Europe. Tonight: Committee Room 11, 7pm. Please join @alexsobel & @peterjukes & the star of the Sergei & the Westminster Spy podcast

Labour has chosen nativism over growth. inews.co.uk/opinion/star...

All of this ……

Sad news. Soft power is an approach I've tried to build into the institutions I've worked for. www.ft.com/content/f78a...

*SIGHS IN EMPIRELAND*

Whoever is working on behalf of Russia to spread disinformation has emailed Bellingcat, pretending to be a concerned citizen, to let us know their latest work. Their current focus is Maia Sandu, president of Moldava, with fake news articles claiming she's both gay and corrupt.

This is an astoundingly good interview. The LA Port Director explains very clearly how profoundly trade is coming to a screeching halt. This summer will be tough.

It’s difficult not to think they’ve gone completely mad.

Fairly sure I saw Trump put his hand on the Bible and make an oath to do this very thing. If only there was some sort of audio visual recording of it.

Questions. Am I not considered able by Reform to morally educate my own offspring? Do they think people who vote SNP or Plaid Cymru love Britian sufficiently? If not, what will they do about it?

Tariffs will squeeze consumption, but will have a much more severe impact on investment.

Here's the Yorkshire Post front page from Thursday. How will the two new Reform mayors deal with the businesses and government on an issue like implementing carbon capture and storage? Governing is for serious people.

Biggest take away; no-one's extracting any minerals and making any money anytime soon. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

1/12 Tony Blair Institute have released a report which is getting a lot of coverage in UK today It says the drive for net zero emissions is flawed and some media outlets have gone to town However it’s a bit odd By odd, I mean there’s a lot of bollocks in it and shouldn't be taken seriously 🧵🧵

I'm an avid reader of @luketryl.bsky.social focus group threads. What comes across is people who have been told for a decade at least that cake-ism is ok, just by caring about problems leaders can resolve them. When hard choices land in a country detached from reality they struggle to process them.

Second report in a row from the Tony Blair Institute purporting to be in support of climate action that has been hijacked by climate deniers who claim it vindicates their position. Political genius at work. Well done everyone.

This is excellent - & jaw dropping: martinrobbins.substack.com/p/i-visit-br... HT @ukcivilservant.bsky.social

BBC muzzling one of its best presenters from making an excellent, wholly factual programme because heat pumps are “controversial”. An organisation badly in need of new leadership.

Trump is now preparing to counter punch Harvard, which is a classic bully move. If Harvard stands tall and doesn’t back down, Trump will be forced to fold and this will be the guide book for all institutions and people that deal with Trump going forward.

Let’s how it progresses, but not a great start to the day on the #NYSE

Nigel Farage defends allowing US chlorinated chicken into UK as part of trade deal. Farage/Reform want US style insurance-based healthcare; lower food/environmental standards, worker/consumer rights; return to gold standard, benefit cuts. Who in their right mind wants this.

REPORTER: Powell says he won't leave even if you ask him to TRUMP: Oh, he'll leave. If I ask him to he'll be out of there ... I'm not happy with him. If I want him out, he'll be out of there real fast. Believe me. REPORTER: Are you trying to remove him? TRUMP: Yeah, next question.

#NEWCRY 4-0 but the xG says……🤣
