Sydneysider, inner westie, parent to zoomers, I'd rather live in a functioning society than pay less tax. I didn't turn my mind to it.

The only thing your post is missing is the words "as usual" at the end.

Unfortunately, the #abc is broken beyond repair. It needs to be shut down and rebooted but the govt doesn't seem to care.

The truly amazing thing there is ... the ABC doing journalism.

I know, depressing...

You're right seeing the national anti corruption body being dragged kicking and screaming to investigate corruption is so inspiring ...

Well, yeah, apart from that...

Yep, they've become vertically integrated businesses that rely on people failing so they can be endlessly cycled through the system with the agency collecting fees at each point in the process.

Someone described him as too old and lazy to know what's going on. Sounds about right.

FFS. The #ABC is such a useless piece of sh*t these days that I'd advocate just getting rid of it except that's what the current management want. They want to drive away the audience with this populist sh*t so no one complains when the next NLP govt privatise it.

Yep. Elon is a testament to the fact that someone with below average intelligence can make a sh*tload of money by being in the right place at the right time. Then turn it into a f*ckload of money by investing it in other people's businesses...

BOM has been gutted by a neo liberal reform - massive investment in technology that doesn't work, staff cuts and a focus on "business units" most of whom work for fossil fuel companies.

Yep, the ABC is a sad, spiteful little shell of its former self.

This is the type of journalism that used to happen at the #abc Not anymore...

I don't know... Maybe the one where big corporations make living so expensive and stressful that people can't afford to have children so eventually there won't be anyone to buy stuff they make...

With everything going on on the world right now the smh takes aim at "cancel culture." This is what a dying medium looks like.

The vast majority of start ups fail, a lot are fraudulent with no real product but some vague idea they hope will suck in venture capital...

And the mainstream media yawning through it all...

I've heard that they are very good. You see them all over the place where we live.

Or when they just fold and make big payments to settle cases with conservatives...

Yes, the #abc keeps finding new ways to be pathetic. It is truly innovative and creative in shooting itself in the foot. You'd almost think there's a cohort of managers that want to destroy the place.

It needs a toggle switch with two options Nazis or No Nazis...

I wondered about that. What happens when the US invades Mexico are we bound to come to their aid?

I've worked as a freelancer in govt and the private sector and I think I've only ever met a couple of people who were employed under diversity programs. One was a guy with Down's and there was a handful of indigenous cadets at the ABC. Listening to the media you'd think they were everywhere...

Maybe they're the ones the army plans to put up front when the shooting starts...

Imagine if we had to fight a war with that lot in charge?

Just look at the military men and women that go on to bigger and better things - Kathryn Campbell, Stuart Robert, Linda Reynolds, David Hurley...

They didn't come to destroy the indigenous population but planned to take the land, which is pretty much the same thing. The FF was part of a plan to annihilate the so called "criminal class" from Britain by sending them to the end of the earth.

Useless fwits. Determined to show the world that they're a weak tea news corp that no one watches...

Is that the guy who said he's a good person who did a bad thing? That's a great excuse you could use it for anything...
