Turns out Louie's sister pup (Soba) was coincidentally adopted by a tech who works at our vet's office. She had her dog's DNA tested by Embark, so we can compare her results with Louie's. They found mostly the same breed mix but different percentages. #dogsofbluesky

Yesterday Louie experienced real heat for the first time in his short life... it got up to 90F, and he decided the best place to be was splooted out like a wet dishrag on the tile floor. #dogsofbluesky

I visited these 2 old Larch trees up on Mission Peak a few days ago. Their tops have been blown out by wind or lightning, but they keep on going. One of them lost a trunk years ago- now that tree has a huge rot cavity in its base, and the failed trunk slowly returns to the Earth. #ThickTrunkTuesday

OK maybe the last of the Anna's Hummingbirds for today. This is probably the same little one that wintered over here this year. She jealously guards our feeder and keeps all other hummers out of the yard. 🪶
