There's a (likely apocryphal) quote attributed to Churchill:
"Americans can always be trusted to do the right thing, once all other possibilities have been exhausted.”
Probably needs recasting: Americans can mostly be trusted...once all other possibilities have been exhausted a few times.”

...has definitely shifted (I'm a good 30 lbs heavier than when I last did this, but moving in the right direction), and my balance isn't what it was...yet, but it's amazing what the body remembers. I need a place to write about this. (2/2)

It means we live in different epistemological universes, which makes communication and cooperation difficult. Part of this is the proliferation of instantaneous communication, which has let a hundred flowers bloom, but also fed the weeds.

I have reassumed the practice of the Wudang 108 style of taijiquan after about a 15-year layoff. Expect more taijiquan content in the future.
Also, diving, if I can get my ass back into the ocean this summer.

Related: I submitted it as an op-ed. The moment for it may have come quickly and passed, though. Still. I haven't done THAT in almost as long as it's been since I saw the number on the scale from this morning.

No. The judge understands the game. All it has to do to be "constitutional" is get five justices behind it. The right has understood this for a long time. The left needs to wake up to it.

What's also weird is that before the criming, he got his PhD and taught history at a local university. There is currently a professor there with the same name who is NO kin to the one I knew. That has to be strange.
