Technically only half a book. *runs out of the room.

So what I'm reading from this is that books can have scene, but not herd. No need to ask, I'll just let myself out of the thread now.

Do you feel you need a solid outline before you start, or do you build it out as you progress?

Peak Torretto for sure.

I did think the franchise lost a bit of steam when he came back as a robot.

My favorite part was when he drove his car into space and fought all the aliens.

Which one of the Fast & Furious movies is that from? I don't recognize it.

This one has always stuck in my head. Good tune, love the video. youtu.be/KOOhPfMbuIQ?...

Everyone will want to think they would be the exception and become Furiosa or Max, but yeah, odds are stacked that they'd be One-Nut Sam or Plague Jenny. Still hanging on to Defective Monk if I can, it's pre-pocalyse certified.

I'm too inconsistant a reader to do book club, but it always sounds like a good idea.

Yeah, the victim is a famous author. Interested to see where it goes. Occasionally I like trying to read stuff I wouldn't normally pick for myself.

Hi! Reading the Lighthouse by P.D. James. Not quite as hard-boiled as I like in my mysteries, but she is incredibly detailed and really paints a picture. It's some of the best atmospheric detail I have read in a long time. Recommended from an article, if I recall.

(I feel like this is mandatory at this point): Look at them, they come to this place when they know they are not pure.

“Is that for you, or you holding it for a friend?”

The depressing thing is I could copy/paste that in my feed and it’s still 100% accurate for my government.

Maybe the metrics already assume that’s the predominant answer, so technically you’re just voting for second place.

Thought it was a typo, but looked it up and learned a new word today (abliterate). Thanks!

As grounded as the story is in the city, the third cover does seem to give it the most accurate representation, imo. I like the color, comp and lettering of the 1st and actually prefer the 2nd just on mad monster vibes, but I think the 3rd is the most appropriate.

It would not surprise me at all to watch the party of "small government" and "states' rights" quickly pivot to argue that state rules and regulations cannot usurp federal mandates.

"But I made sure to include all editions of D&D in the prompt!" "Including 4th edition?" asked the demon. "Dammit..."

Yay! Good doggos wearing hats are always welcome here. :D

Fair point, but it does come on the heels of calling myself an idiot. The facts seem to support my case.

Oh my. As pleased as I am to hear this, I must somberly report that I have recently discovered that @roguelion.bsky.social has been using "A.I."* to help with completing his works. * "A.I." is defined here as "An Idiot." ** Yes, I am that idiot.

There's an abstraction layer where I think most people don't see how new AI art is destructive to old art. It's the same reason we don't let people go into the Louvre, cut up paintings and make an art collage out of old school masters. The AI can't make things ex nihilo, it requires theft to work.

I also wouldn't mind an old fashioned super-robot either.

I go where the process takes me and sometimes the results catch me off guard and give me a concussion. Its okay, I think I can walk it off.

Are you not entertained‽ BOOM! Right there! Interrobanged! nope -- I should definitely not use it that way. my apologies, that won't happen again.
comment in response to post
Probably should have checked with @roguelion.bsky.social about this before committing, but it's too late now!

Well, I never expected this turn of events. I guess there's only one correct response...

This is all just a BIG Punctuation smokescreen to try and distract us from the further erasure of the interrobang. Why hasn't anyone noticed‽

Agreed. That's why I've been preaching about Snorks goodliness since at least right now in this post.

It's a forced perspective. The duck is much larger than it looks.

My phone filter claims this is "dramatic" lighting. It sure does ratchet up the tension, I think.

Yes! I definitely prefer one over the other. To be perfectly clear, this mean I would prefer less hate crimes happening and more pet pics existing.
