Last night I loaded up Quest For Glory 1, the EGA version where you type things instead of having neat mouse icons. A wonderful hit of nostalgia and half remembered things. But also cool reading the manual and its emphasis on being a fusion RPG/Adventure game.

No Star Wars, No Star Trek. Name your favorite sci-fi franchise.

In signs I am aging: going from not using a gamepad for months (year+?) to playing Ninja Gaiden II Black may have been a mistake. On the other hand it was fun having my brain not know wtf was going on while my thumbs destroyed black spider ninja by the score as unlike me my thumbs remember this.

Sometimes burning the whole thing down and starting from scratch is exactly what you need with a creative project. Or any project really.

Pulling apart a game’s market stuff is actually kind of fun. Why’d I never do this before?

Had i managed to leave home 5 minutes earlier I would be done here 20-30 minutes ago. Instead I am second in line. Funny how that works some days.

I am glad to see my work computer is as thrilled to be back to work as I am, judging from how sluggish it is opening things up today anyhow. :D

Thinking more about RDR2 and the Epilogue, I think it was an enjoyable story. However, even having played RDR1, I don't think the place for that story was as an epilogue to Arthur Morgan's story. As an "Optional Prologue" for a re-master of RDR1? 100% absolutely.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is finished. Kind of felt the epilogue overstays its welcome a bit, and I would have preferred credits between ending and epilogue but those are the kind of “artist’s choice” decisions that come down to preference. Overall it was a good experience and worth the play through!

Per the song ‘Careless Whisper’ guilty feet have no rhythm. As such, by order of the Duke and OSHA, all Spice Harvester workers are ordered to betray their closest loved ones before reporting to Arrakis for duty.

Tried Marvel Rivals...and enjoy playing Magik more than I thought I would. Big sword goes spin!

If only my mind could decide what it wanted to do today. Ah well, a bit of everything it is then i guess.

Monday has arrived. Again. What's next? Another Tuesday? How long can this madness go on?

Not sure if I'm a fan of this whole Island plot in RDR2. Guess we'll see how it turns out.

Really enjoying the Illuminates in Helldivers 2. The new variety in enemy makes a good case for dusting off unused weapons to see how well they work against the new foe. Also, who doesnt love driving through zombies in a city while people hang out the side shooting guns?

Me: oh nice, i can sleep in because I have a doctor appointment. My Body: *wakes up earlier than normal just because* Me: i should have expected this.

I kind of love that #thegameawards isnt afraid to roast themselves and the industry. Repeatedly.

I've been using Duo for years to try and maintain/grow my Japanese language proficiency after letting it languish for years post college. One thing I struggle with is, IMO, Duo is gamified wrong. Everything is about points, but you get more points faster for doing review units not new lessons.

I'm not sure how to handle or why I care someone swearing that "skiing" in tribes was difficult to learn. You just mashed space bar, nothing else to it. Skiing well? Sure, that took skill. But skiing? Pretty simple.

Rewatching the first Transformers movie...for reasons...and is there any reason why Sam Witwicky wasn't a Cross Country star athlete? This kid runs UP the stairs of a skyscraper, after being in a warzone, and is still able to stand and move around after. Insane stamina!

Having lived through the Xx<Name>xX days and the l33tsp34k days and such, I wonder how messed up names would look in the real world if they also had to be unique identifiers. Like if in all the history of the world and humanity there was only 1 "John Smith" or only 1 "Sarah Connor"

Always hate when a game randomly restricts an ability because it doesn't want you to solve a problem that way. Not the ability doesn't work. Just you flat out can't do it.

Where's the game that lets me play a lady and let me grow my leg/pit hair out like Arthur's hair/beard while downing hair tonic by the 1/2 dozen to see how long it can all go? Nowhere? Cowards! Think of all the mechanics that could be tied to it, like extra cold resist while hunting!
