MAHMOUD IS FREE

Zohran Mamdani is standing up to the oligarchy and fighting to make one of America’s most expensive cities affordable for the working class. If you’re a New York City voter, I urge you to rank him #1 on your ballot by next Tuesday. @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social

For anyone who followed Molly Gordon on Twitter, I’m sharing the sad news that she died yesterday. She was a stellar human and spent the last few years calling out racism, genocide and other injustice while also suffering from long covid and ME/CFS. I’ll miss her.

“ICE in just a few weeks has transformed itself into the closest thing that the US has ever had to a ‘secret police,’ with more seemingly culturally in common with the Klan nightriders of Reconstruction than their federal agency brethren like the FBI or ATF.” @garrettgraff.bsky.social

This is potentially enormous. www.nytimes.com/2025/06/20/h...

Harvard says publicly that it’s ‘committed to protecting the rights of its students’ …but it’s still hell-bent on censoring them. theintercept.com/2025/06/20/h...

Federal judge sides with Harvard—blocks Trump’s ban on international students. Harvard wins a legal reprieve while Trump teases a ‘mind‑bogglingly historic’ deal. Drama, leverage, high stakes. If everything is “historic” and “mind boggling,” as he always claims…then nothing would be. #BS

I also find this interesting. Like the guy who discovered that there isn’t any fraud at social security etc.

The judges keep issuing orders, which the felon and his posse keep ignoring. Can you legal experts explain to me in kindergarten language how they can keep showing contempt for the courts with both alacrity and impunity?

struck yet again by how painlessly efficient most labor is when the people who think their job is to make things painfully efficient aren’t around

I have been stigmatized for many reasons over my life. But the social death of not being an AI booster right now is 🔥🔥

I believe that there is an educators frequency. Just when you feel like an absolute useless sack of %#!? a former student finds you. I was LIVID and pissed and exhausted and spoiling for a fight when this found me today.

“Any time, any time while I was a slave, if one minute’s freedom had been offered me, and I had been told I must die at the end of that minute, I would have taken it – just to stand one minute on God’s earth a free woman – I would.” Sharing 'Mum Bett' Elizabeth Freeman’s words on Juneteenth.

We are thrilled that pro-housing candidates did well in Tuesday elections: Juandiego Wade, Jen Fleisher, Sally Duncan, and Ghazala Hashmi all support the kinds of housing policies Charlottesville, Albemarle County, and the Commonwealth of Virginia need!

glad to see SPLC going back to their roots - the best work they ever did was bankrupting hate groups in the courts. it's about time someone made GDL answer for their harassment campaigns.

Thunder, lightning, rain. Grandma Edie visits to say: “turn off the ‘lectrics.” I say, “yes, ma’am,” then prepare to “be still,” as was her injunction when I was a child.

Yes. I am right. I am seeing how Chat GPT is ruining students critical thinking and writing skills in real time. It is not the future. It is a tool designed to render the populace helpless, to make people doubt their innate intelligence, and to foster overreliance on technology.
