I'm only now starting to realize the implications for the sequel Rock City Blues. A lot of villains still have sinister plans for Sia. Sia herself still has a lot of darkness to deal with. There's also the "amour fou" theme. Jennifer continues to be pivotal.

A side note: I thought about it a bit and realized the true lesbian romance at the heart (pun intended) of Spanner In The Works is not Sia and Perky Reporter Amanda but Sia and Jennifer, the deuteragonist who may actually be the secret hero of the book.
