Kind of funny how on the *other* platforms I almost never see these sorts of posts yet in my fairly short time here, they are all over.
Looking forward to see what sorts of amazing things non-predatory social media can build

Thanks for reminding me that I will be able to finally collect scionwood from my Toka Plum (which was my first successful graft 2 years ago!) soon!

Every day I see more people quitting facebook / meta. Doing my best to gently explain why bluesky is different, and why it matters.

As a cultural worker in Wisconsin, I am *very* closely watching the Act 10 lawsuit. Hoping to join the ranks soon 🙏

Ah ok, the wording just threw me off. The truth is that these are big, complex systems with many inputs... though the changing climate, and humans are the biggest common threads.

The prediction (which has continues to be proven true, repeatedly) was that there would be more naturally-caused forest fires. The statistics are clear on this. The fact that humans are also setting fires intentionally is just a horrible icing on a bitter cake.

Careering in 2024 feels like assigning a limited amount of skill points to "financial stability", "mental health" and "not exploitative to humanity" trees.
May you roll all natural 20's!

Is anyone keeping a running list of things he's 'jokingly' said and then actually did? I know there are for lies and for general misdeeds.

I work at a public museum in Wisconsin and we have a theater space for these kinds of things. We already have monthly film screenings in partnership with a local Indie / international film club with discussions afterwards. If you end up doing this I would love to try and make it work here.
