Trump doesn't care about political capital. The Republican Congress has all but handed him the keys to the store and then collapsed. The Judiciary has become a rubber stamp for anything he does.

I'm lucky. I have a small nest egg. Many others have nothing. Elderly and disabled people will be unable to pay rent or utility bills. People will start to starve.
All so that a billionaire will pay even less taxes than he does now.

I'm living off SS and savings, now. I am single and childless.
I'm grateful that I was able to pay off my mortgage and I don't have that financial weight on me now, but I'd be surviving on boxes of dried ramen if my SS checks stopped coming.

You can also choose to be reminded by BlueSky when you post images without Alt-Text. Go to the menu on the left side of your screen. Select Settings - > Accessibility -- > AltTex and turn the slider to the right.

There are multiple free and easy ways to add Alt-Text. You can "share" your text image to Google Lens, then select the text you want to copy. Paste the results into your post's Alt-Text.
You can get the same basic functuality from the Image To Text Converter at www.imagetotext.io

If you use a text reader, those blocks of text that are embedded in an image are literally read as "image", or something similar. No other info is added about what the image says. Text readers just can't read them.

It wasn't her fault. Her son contracted polio just a few months before the vaccine became widely available. I think of them often now that an anti-vaxxer is in charge of HHS.
Vaccines should never have been politicized. They were developed through science and are proven to be safe and effective.

When I was a child, my next door neighbor had survived polio, but was left with a very noticeable limp.
He was barely older than I, but I was inoculated against polio and he was not. His mother wore her guilt about not vaxxing him sooner like a tattoo.
