I've always been a fan of the BBC. As a parent of preschoolers, CBeebies cemented that (I'm still astounded at stuff they learned) Now the kids are older, the new Gladiators series are perfection for family viewing. Credit to whoever cast the gladiators and mapped out the panto-vibe. #ThisIsOurBBC

So they haven't "banned the word man" at all then. It isn't even like this is new. It's been fairly standard for years to say things like "tradesperson". Gender neutral language isn't just perfectly normal already, it makes more sense for most things. The outrage machine is reaching at this point.
