Congratulations to Aaron Judge who has broken the all-time single season home run record, and it's only June 1st! Search engines need to stop vomiting up AI garbage as the top response, or any response for that matter. Gotta love the "May contain inaccuracies" stipulation. #AaronJudge #NoAI

Pictures of food! Made dinner on Saturday for a bunch of friends whose birthdays are all in May. Marinated pork loin with a balsamic and shallot sauce/reduction, mashed sweet potatoes, asparagus, and carrots. Dark chocolate cake, with a vanilla ermine frosting, covered in chocolate ganache.

"This is like Gestapo-type of stuff, and it just blows my mind that there's a certain, certain ugly segment of the American pop population that's enjoying watching these families getting ripped out of their homes and, and you somehow think that America's gonna be better if this is done." - Bill Burr

Can't wait for everyone to see the incredible restoration of Hearts of Darkness. I created two brand new featurettes for this release, The Making of Hearts of Darkness and Eleanor Coppola: Art Is All Around Us.

We've lost one of the great makeup and prosthetics artists in film. From Bram Stoker's Dracula and The Lost Boys, to Hannibal and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, he could do it all.

Scary scenes of Gestapo ICE agents enacting “warrantless arrests” in Worcester! The community takes action! @meidastouch.com

For those of you who haven't seen it, don't have The Criterion Channel, or are just feeling daffy and want to watch it again, here's IT'S ALWAYS SOMETHING with a brief intro by Stephen Fry. Be sure to set it to 1080p for the best quality playback. #filmsky #shortfilm #stephenfry

The Academy announces rule changes that allow Generative AI in nominated films, adding only that they will take into account the degree to which a human was at the heart of the creative authorship, while completely ignoring the artistic theft at the heart of Generative AI. #Oscars #NoAI

Check out my friend Paul's short film project and find out how you can play an important part in getting this supernatural comedy made.

Last night was the 250th anniversary of Paul Revere's midnight ride to warn the Minutemen of approaching British troops. I want to take a moment to share an excerpt from the Declaration of Independence's grievances against King George III. Remind you of anyone?

Truth … a little more realism would suffice.

The Roxie is more than just a movie theater – it’s a hub for community, connection, and creativity. They’re raising funds to buy their building, which would ensure that this essential and quintessential SF institution can thrive for the long haul.

This country is becoming unrecognizable. What we’re seeing is state-funded fear. We’ve warned people: keep filming, go live on social media so these moments are documented and shared. This wasn’t a case involving masked ICE agents—but that’s happening too.

Orwell 1984 much? “what? ICE is going to stop illegal “ideas” from crossing the border? how is an idea “illegal”? don’t we have a First Amendment that protects free speech? I mean, at least for now we still have one — I think.” - @jefftiedrich.bsky.social open.substack.com/pub/jefftied...
