Something I wrote 5 years ago that was meant as a thinly veiled warning for a worst case scenario, has gone from being a bit too on the nose to coming up far short of the reality we find ourselves trapped in. All in the last 150 days.

Right out of "1941". "Let's knock out those lights!"

Very true. Most people are already at the point where they can't afford medicine.

At what point does it occur to them that if you automate every single job, there won't be anyone left who can afford to buy whatever crap is in those bags their robot is sorting without UBI. My guess is they don't care.

Very creepy.
All the search engines have an AI Overview as the top response now, and more often than not, the information is faulty.

Looks like it scanned this page and stopped "reading" after the title listed under the silver prize, entirely missing that there was another person's name on the next line. Thrown off by something as simple as formatting. How is this progress?!

If Mozart were alive and composing today and spoke out against the Rotten Orange, he would be labeled highly overrated and not a talented guy by this pathetic, infantile bully. Because what he's doing is indefensible, threats and insults are his only response.

I never leave home without band-aids, bail money, and a cheesecake.

Just search for "filmmaker starter pack". You can then click on one and ask to be included or you can go through the list of people included and follow them individually or there's a follow all option. It's a quick way to see who's on here.

There are a few starter packs to track down filmmakers on here. I don't think there's one for SF Bay Area filmmakers, which needs to be remedied by someone who understands how to set them up far better than I do.

I do this all the time. We ride bikes down to the park and play catch. Although it's usually on weekdays as a way to force myself to take a break from working on films. Highly recommend it.

He did it during his first inauguration, but even though Melanie stood there with a stack of Bibles, he decided not to. Afraid he would burst into flames perhaps.

He didn't place his left hand on the Bible (even though he's such a big fan) and looks like he's trying to cross his stubby digits while taking the Oath of Office. So even if he remembered saying it, which is doubtful, he certainly didn't comprehend or mean what he was saying.

I would have thought Eventualism would have caught on by now. Also, we need more characters with names like Elmo Oxygen.

A.I. Agatha Christie teaches you how to write so A.I. will have more writers to steal work from. A high tech way of fattening writers up for the slaughter.

That's definitely someone you don't want to be working with.

Feels like a spineless attempt to stay neutral, which this absolutely is not. They just made it a rule that voters need to actually watch all the nominated films before they vote, so who exactly is going to scrutinize films and make a judgment on the human touch that goes into projects using AI?

Same here. Every line in the film is a quotable line.

What's undeniable, is if you attempt to appeal to everyone, you'll wind up with something that's painfully middle of the road, no matter how high-concept and clever it may seem.
It's also such an unhelpful, goal oriented approach, like telling an actor to be charismatic.

One of the most iconic characters and images in film history.
Here's my take. Black and white pencil on toned paper.
