I wonder if he sent that same email to trump?

Jasmine Crockett is awesome. Why can't more people be like her? Then I could be proud to be from Texas.

I'm just trying to say that neither ignoring the problem or deportation is the answer. Congress has to do their job if there is any hope of getting this fixed.

Maybe if they started arresting anyone who hired illegal workers then something would have to change. Lol

So, there's a lot of work to be done but no one is going to do it.

I've been around the world and now am even more liberal than I was in my younger years. Liberal and conservative doesn't mean what it used to. I would have considered myself somewhat conservative before the religious took over. Now, FUCK THEM!

Go search Freakonomics podcast episodes about immigration and you will see why some of my comments seem controversial. I'm not an expert on any of this but I try to be informed. I think I'm a sensible person. I haven't seen anything yet to change my mind. My age may have something to do with it.

Our current prices are artificially low, before you factor in trump's inflation. And that goes back to before the pandemic started.

This is a decades old problem. Congress has been neglecting their duty to update the immagration system. If it had been done much earlier the price increases would have been gradual, much like the minimum wage. Put it off as long as possible because the companies that pay us don't want it fixed.

Yes, that's not their desired outcome but more expensive workers is better than no workers at all. If they wanted to keep the status quo they should have made sure that trump didn't get elected.

While I agree with you, maybe, just maybe all of the companies and farms that depend on migrant workers will rise up and demand that congress finally fix the immagration system so they can get the workers they need legally.

There’s an excellent museum in Oklahoma that walks you through the history of migration. Both voluntary and forced.

Jeez he looks awful. You would think that he could afford to go to a doctor. But in the States? Maybe not.

Serenity, and the whole series Firefly. You don't have to watch the series first but it helps.

I wonder what the people of Briton would say about that? On the other hand, America doesn't have a very good success rate of trying to liberate other countries.
