People get furious at the parts that make them uncomfortable without zooming out enough to see that the game agrees with them despite being from 10+ years ago and a country that has not been embroiled in the same discourse.

As somebody with extremely left-wing friends and right-wing family who has been exposed to A LOT of discussion about those three "main" games, the acrobatic levels of point-missing that people go through to paint them as regressive or creepy are just incredible.
