"Stephen Miller and Elon just said that the federal employees who have been terminated, were “unproductive” and “taking your tax dollars away from you.”
No. They were Jennifer and Alex down the street, who live in a modest house and volunteer for the neighborhood swim team." The Heather Ashley

Because nobody that owns one of the guns (more privately owned firearms than citizens in the US) that are allegedly needed to stop people like Trump and Musk from doing exactly what they're doing have used them for that purpose. It's almost like they only really wanted them to kill minorities.

Why is half the military purge focused on lawyers?
Two reasons:
*Hegseth has complained about lawyers restricting the military, and has defended war criminals
*Broader pattern where Trump is targeting General Counsels, assuming that loyalists will offer a legal rationale for illegal actions

Neighbors on my street spontaneously helped each other shovel out & get all the cars started. We worked hard, laughed a lot, and helped each other. A little thing, but it mattered.

Notice Hegseth’s statements.
“Our core mission of deterring, fighting, and winning wars.”
America is currently not engaged in fighting any wars. Biden pulled us out of our last direct conflict, Afghanistan. We have no direct threads to our security.
What wars will we be focused on fighting?

The new Trump administration, starting from the very top, is operating under the dangerous misconception that threats and use of force usually work with ease.
Trump cheered Russia’s attack on Ukraine as “savvy” and “genius,” and seems genuinely surprised and disturbed that Ukraine hasn’t bowed down.

The rest of us were never compensated from the antitrust harm we experienced in the 2000s.
Over the last years, as prices have soared, egg company profits have gone through the roof.

While this suit was decided in 2024, this is for conduct that happened in the 2000s. The plaintiffs in this case were Kraft, Nestle, General Mills—in other words, other large companies who could afford the suit (and could pursue it back over decades).

Sourcing:
1) There is an egg price-fixing cartel: they recently lost an antitrust suit for fixing egg prices, to the tune of $53 million (with treble damages).

This is what the wealthy in this country are doing in this country en masse at this moment—consolidating producers and sellers so that they can force us into higher priced options.

The GOP is preparing to ram through its entire extremist agenda using budget reconciliation, a procedural loophole that lets them bypass the filibuster and pass massive legislation with just a simple majority.
This fight is moving to the House and we will keep you updated on ways to take action.
