Mark Waid said his very short X-Men run was the only thing he ever did strictly for the money. I’ve never heard him speak of it again and as far as I can tell, it’s never been reprinted or collected.

As much of a footprint anymore. There were some artists. I’d say the biggest name there was Kevin Eastman and he had a good line but it just felt like they aren’t trying to book significant comics folks anymore.
I don’t know, just my opinion. Anyway, here a two very nice cosplayers I took a pic of.

Really ain’t it. Maybe, had they not been booked for a bunch of panels and had there been a handler to limit interactions, maybe more could’ve gotten done.
And in general, everything just felt overpriced so I barely spent any money.
And my favorite thing, comics just don’t seem to have…

Last year, some very good friends attended for three days with NON-REFUNDABLE tickets and never even got to meet the guest much less get anything signed.
I mean, they knew the risks going in and but telling them that the best you can do for them is to hop in another line to meet someone else…

But man, it all just kinda blurs together after a bit. There needs to be some sort of vetting for exhibitors past their money for a table.
It just doesn’t feeling special in any way.
The one pop culture guest I was interested in wanted $109 to sign something. Nah. I’m good.

I loved this series so much. Back in my blogger days, I called it the best Marvel series they weren’t publishing. That was a compliment as most of Marvel wasn’t very good at the time.
And I loved how hard the fans fought for this book.
