i agree with you on all this ones, but we talked about less popular characters, that was my "queers arent' getting merch" specifically
my POV as a Monica fan is that she'll be the last who gets any stuff even if "less popular chars should be owed stuff too". without it - no stuff, ever

i don't understand. isn't it obvious that, choosing between creating merch for a cishet character and for a queer one, companies would always choose the former for more marketability?
i don't participate in fandoms that aren't about queer characters, so it'd be hard to find specific examples

i feel conflicted about this one, particularly because usually it's the queer characters who are not getting any merch. and doesn't merch often serve as more representation to people who are outside of the fandom? (they see "wow cool figurine who is this" and like)
