I was trying to figure out what to do with my sashiko sampler, but I think I'm going to make matching bat plushies for my mom and I, using the embroidered fabric as accent fabric for the ears and a heart applique on the body.

First time making a plushy. In hindsight, upholstery fabric probably wasn't a great choice, but I wanted it to be durable. I'll probably give it to my mom to put in her classroom's reading nook.

My area has a beloved pair of bald eagles (Shadow and Jackie) and their eggs are hatching! IIRC, it can take 1 to 3 days for them to fully hatch and they started pipping yesterday so I hope they hatch tomorrow (which is coincidentally my bday too!)! Live wildlife cam:
