Sure. Please let me know what policy/policies, legislation or proposed legislation is the food drive is addressing. I've tried keeping up with IN legislation and have spoken in length w/reps' staff with my concerns and desired actions. Like SB140 I needed clear language guarantees in bill. I'll DM.

I was there in the pouring rain with my bum foot in ortho shoe on the 5th. Been protesting since 90s so I know what protesting is "about". You aren't choosing to operate for the safety of others. CANNED food drive's not a protest and invites false narratives about our peaceful protests.

No violence. OK. Cuz looks bad? Ethics? Could provoke trump to react with targeted policies affecting right to protest? Been told to follow rules of peaceful protest cuz it could trigger martial law. Now it doesn't matter cuz he can do it no matter what? Sloppy. No clear message. Pushes allies away.

Well that's some crazy reasoning. Why then aren't we armed and forcibly removing this dictator? I mean, if the threat of martial law means nothing because trump could do it any time, why are we even being peaceful? One hand: don't give reason for declaring martial law. Other hand: It doesn't matter.

Not just asshole, he's insane. Asshole usually based on one's actions. W/trump, it's his core being. It's not behavior. It's a symptom of his insanity. Agree with the seriousness of this, but his insanity knows no end, and sometimes levity helps cope with trump's unhinged personality and stupidity.

IN is having a "canned food drive" during the Shred Project 2025 protest, which is very scant on details of recipients or orgs distrib food. It'll play into trump narrative of cans being used as weapons, then martial law. Was planning on protesting, not a charity event with few details, so no.

This is coming from the moron who thinks Ukraine invaded Russia. Fuck this fascist administration. They're just trying to rile up the opposition to riot, then martial law.
comment in response to
post
Nope. Canned food drive? Who for? Why? Canned foods have nothing to do with "shredding Project 2025". Canned foods at peaceful protest-especially one covered by media leaves too much room for ๐ฉ๐ admin to claim as violence, which he's done before, and enact martial law-bad idea. Won't go cuz of that.
comment in response to

Bringing canned food seems like a terrible idea, despite--and maybe because of-leadership providing "security" by police. Lots of questions. What orgs will receive and distribute the food? Who is the food supposed to go to? Bad actors can pose as protesters, throw cans &๐๐ฉ then enacts martial law.

Ummm...US Marshals are under the direction of the Attorney General, Bondi, and she answers directly to the criminal in the White House. Sorry. I should be more specific. The orange POS convict sitting in the White House--or more aptly, playing golf at one of his properties.
I hate that man.

Thank you for saying that. I'm from US and I think from a historic perspective, we're lame. So unchallenged in/with our democracy that we don't know how to react.

Yea. I stopped watching late night comedy talk shows like Stephen Colbert after election because I couldn't bear someone who's money would protect them joking about how bad it could/would be for us, knowing damn well they weren't going to suffer like us. Especially if they're worth is $75 mill. ๐ก๐คฎ

Also think it's because they're too slow, both in thinking and their assessment of what's happening; while simultaneously relying on history & precedent of trusting the law's strength-making them oblivious to a pres. who's job is to uphold the law; brazenly breaking it. They seem shocked & surprised

So many unlawful, corrupt and unconstitutional things happening by this admin on an hourly basis, it's hard to keep up. Hell, trump even has to have his Executive Orders explained to him because 1)He doesn't read. 2)He's incompetent. 3)There's too many of them to be fully briefed before signing.

I think we're already there. We're deporting people for dissent, and now what they might think in the future. "..determination is the alienโs past, current, or expected beliefs.."

Joyce Vance, either yesterday or day before, finally said we're in a Constitutional crisis. April. And she's just now feeling this enough to say it definitively until now. We've seen this from day one. Lame people in power.

And it won't get better until we actually DO something. Brown shirts snatching people off the streets and sending them god knows where.

We don't have to worry about those anymore. No NOAA, no bad weather. See how that works? Just like covid testing.

I think it's past the pocketbook strategy. We need a revolt.

This is the same guy who thought they put the Actual Declaration of Independence in his office. They put a little curtain in front of it, told him it was the original, and he believed it and bragged to journalists about it. He's insane and needs gone--by any means possible.

I believe that we're going to need to do more than outlandish protests. It has to be forceful and definitive. They're armed and have power on their side. We need to match that with actual force. Nothing less will do.
comment in response to

But, hey. We're going to peacefully protest with colorful signs with bold statements, and I heard we're going to file some lawsuits, so we're gonna be totally OK. ๐
comment in response to

Sorry to say, peaceful protests won't do it. Neither will lawsuits or "pressure on our elected officials". We need a January 6th.

What are we going to do about it? File a motion in court? Protest?
comment in response to

I've never seen a better time for a full-blown armed revolt. But I'll be considered too radical for saying that. It's like non-MAGA forgot that MAGA is NOT AFRAID and will gladly die defending their beliefs. No better time. But instead we'll take them to court. ๐

They're lame and so are we. Proj.2025 was plain and no-one in gov had any kind of plan in place to counter the enactment of this when they won. They bet on voters' intelligence (๐คฆโโ๏ธ) and now we're ๐๐. When are we gonna Jan 6th on them?
comment in response to
post
Maybe. I just don't think we're doing enough to ACTUALLY STOP what is happening. It's not hopeless, but "you'll never take back your country with weakness" sure had some truths, and I just don't think we're radical enough or organizing in the bold way necessary. I'm protesting, but it's not enough.

THEY. DON'T. CARE!!! Wake-up. Lawsuits have done nothing. They're ignored and flouted. We need more than peaceful protests. 1/20/21=????
We're already screwed yet we're asking, why or how long until they do something even more illegal and harmful? Our media posts will ๐๐us if we don't ACT NOW!!
comment in response to

Nobody's actually gotten into "good trouble". Lawful protests aren't even close to "trouble". Brown-shirts snatching people, verdicts being ignored, and we've got signs and scream. I really believe we've already lost. What're we gonna do when they take libs' guns? File a lawsuit? We're lame.
comment in response to

How? By lawsuits they don't respect? How did they fail on 1/20/21 and how can WE succeed? Otherwise we deserve everything we get. Is 2A only for MAGA? We're lame and already conquered.
comment in response to
post
Protesting won't do that. They rioted over a "stolen" election, and we've got signs and lawsuits. We're lame and afraid to be extreme like them, thus nothing will happen. This is literally the moment that 2A was designed for, and we're posting memes and protesting. We're too fat and comfy in US.
comment in response to

Kinda my point. They aren't, at any point, following the law or Constitution. They are rogue and dangerous to our security; national and domestic. All need to go, and lawsuits won't do it. ALL people involved in 1/20/21 are free and legislating. And we're "peaceful"? We're weak and conquered. 2A!

Don't forget about 2A. Was created after 1 because #1 wasn't strong enough to prevent #3. Every single participant in 1/20/21 is free. Everyone. Are we ever going to wake up? Long overdue.

The people who command the military are complicit. Good luck breaking that chain. Rovolt or die. No-one is saving us.

Resistance is reactive. We need to be proactive. How many times must people be wrongfully deported, snatched up w/o warrant, judges be threatened, extorted, intimidated, targeted and prosecuted by gov before we do what the MAGA did in 1/20/21, only better? Just curious.
comment in response to

Yet no-one in gov made any concrete plans able to be executed if those who are part of Project 2025 came into power. We knew. They knew. Yet they counted on the intelligence of the voters (๐คฆโโ๏ธ) to save us--despite trump winning once before. And they're still saying "if". Eff 'em all. Revolt or die.

I'm right there with ya. But the US is too fat & comfy with the privileges of a democracy that has never been tested. It's prob too late already. 1/21/21 should have seen arrests and no-bail to EVERYONE incl. Trump & reps to await trial. We're wimps. We've lost already. Sayin' that since Russiagate.
