The NYT has always preferred dictators to democrats.

The GOP has become the CCP. Trump is their Mao. They rubber-stamp every whim he has. They purge all dissent and violently attack all opposition. When the tanks start rolling over peaceful student protesters it'll be MAGA behind the wheel.

How far we have fallen. Today’s GOP has become the CCP. Trump is their Mao. When the tanks start rolling over peaceful protesters MAGA will be behind the wheel. And our media organizations will be taking stenography and erasing evidence. museums.cnd.org/China89/intr...

The GOP has become the CCP. Trump is their Mao. 2025 is their 1989. When the shooting starts and the tanks start rolling over peaceful protesters it’ll be MAGA diehards pointing the rifles and driving the tanks.

That was the old republican party. Today's republicans are more like the CCP. Trump is their Mao. When the tanks start roll over peaceful civilian protesters they’ll be driven by gleeful GOP voters.

For many “Speaking out” has become a performance art project. Loudly telling the world, not what it wants to hear, but what the speaker wishes were being said. This works great for entertaining the choir, but doesn't bring converts to the church.

I know, rather than barrage ond overwhelm the staff of people that are working to undermine everything we stand for, lets apply that energy to attacking those that mostly work on our behalf. Who’s with me?

A state powerful enough to deny you an abortion is powerful enough to force your impregnation. This, like everything else, is only about power.

Historically, younger populists rather than older institutionalists are how we get authoritarianism. Seems like we’re headed that way again. www.pewresearch.org/short-reads/...

Americans prefer to be consumers rather than act as citizens. So of course this is only a project to be assigned to democrats.

For those who sat out the election Trump was their second choice.

That’s what I’ve been doing. There may be something jumbled in the transfer between platforms.

Thanks, this series cut me off after three so I could only partially read the rest of the series. Visited Mexico City in 2023 and have been casually digging into various aspects of mesoamerican history/culture ever since. Your feed has been a wonderful find!
