It's mostly the fields full of people who don't think about it that actually do reproduce imperialism tbh.
Also, if you believe Moten and Harney, this very thought is what makes the University possible...

But so is supply of labor right? You have to pay people well to move to small midwestern towns. Someone who is hell bent on staying in central Texas has to just kinda take what they can get if they want an academic job... which sucks, they should pay more, but also you have to be willing to move.

I mean, the other thing to consider is that it's commutable from Austin. It's counterintuitive, but universities in large metros can pay less because that's where the oversupply of Ph.D.s is. Definitely too low, though. Going rate is 50 these days, right?

Lol... the russophobia ain't it and base level doesn't make any sense. Anti-communism (fascism), and anti-Blackness/settlerism are as North American as Apple Pie and Maple syrup. Also, the platforms that profit off of, and push, disinformation are mostly American.

You assume that guy, who works for Semafor, wants there to be any resistance... "You forgot to ask the racists how to protest before protesting deportations" is certainly a take...

It's addictive. Some flat characters because of the format, at least so far, but we'll written and acted overall. Definitely better than Grey's and we binged the first like 20 seasons of it.
