Someone needs to explain something to me. One year — I think it was 1999 – they showed UNTIL THE END OF THE WORLD (1991) and it was a doozy. A somewhat futuristic noir from Wim Wenders, the obtuse plotline was complicated by the film canisters gotten out of order, the audience was in revolt. 1/2

The first time I brought my kid to the marathon was in 2017, when we saw ARRIVAL (2016) and HITCHHIKERS GUIDE TO THE GALAXY (2005). The boy was eleven, he said ARRIVAL was the best movie of that year. “The Black Hole” is not very good. #sfmarathon50
