Early response to Tarkir: Dragonstorm spoilers seems overwhelmingly positive. I think it shows that there strong demand for in-universe sets, a lot of players are just sick of "hat sets" or "holodeck sets" or whatever you want to call them.

I know it's only February, and it's not out yet, but Tarkir is already my favorite set of 2025. Admittedly (and sorry, not trying to be negative), but a big reason for that is that it's not a "hat set" or a UB set. #mtg #magicthegathering #magiccon #mcchicago

Final Fantasy is the first UB in a while that I'm excited for and I don't play much Standard... but $200 Standard product fuckin WHOMPS, man. Licencing fees, sure... but let's not pretend Papa Hasbro isn't gonna make that back in a snap on ALL this other premium product. It's a gross fuckin choice.
