Adrift in deep space, our adventurers worry about their short life expectancy In response, Halia (the Dark Star corporation's creepy AI) suggests a new team name To find out if the team lasted more than 76 seconds, check out part 2 of our #Mothership mini-series πŸŽ§πŸŽ²πŸ‘‰ www.podbean.com/ew/pb-cgvj3-...

There's a lot of sneaking and deception in #DnD But eventually you get caught in the bank vault/throne room/enemy lair What do you do then? Bold lies or draw swords? #TTRPGs

D&D seems to dominate the actual-play world But what other systems work well for #podcasts? So far we've tried Candela Obscura, Monster of the Week, Warhammer and now Mothership (more to come!)

Part two of our #Mothership adventure is out now! The Dark Star corporation discourages us from looting the derelict HMS Boomertown - but we find a disused shopping mall and... well...

The second episode of Mothership featuring our own @maddambeltaine.bsky.social is now out and, as always, he is the very soul of professionalism and decorum and definitely not a massive liability to the rest of the party!

I continue to be a vital asset to the party in today's episode, and definitely don't do anything crazy or dangerous at all!

🚨 ALARM 🚨 Part two of our #Mothership mini-series is OUT NOW! Join our trio of terrified adventurers as they explore a creepy abandoned space ship. And nothing bad happens. Probably πŸŽ§πŸŽ²πŸ‘‡ @mothership.bsky.social #PleaseRP

Do you trust the characters you meet in #TTRPGs? Call us suspicious - even paranoid - but when someone bumps into us we assume they're a pickpocket...

I think an important thing to understand when building a story - and with life in general - is that EVERYONE contains the seeds of their own destruction. We all have self-destructive tendencies, and blind spots that hurt others and ourselves. Villains fail because they don't build community.

Honestly yes. Be it from their direct actions or from their own personality and flaws. Hubris, megolomania, paranoia & the like are at the core of villains because at their hearts villains/evil assume that all others are the same as them They cannot see people doing what's right for goodness sake

yes, and it's not just bad guys, and it's not just guys, it's everyone and everything that ever existed, exists, or will exist. This is the insight of dialectics: everything is a system composed of internal contradictions whose struggle propels the system forward in time, causing it to change.

Do all bad guys - in fiction and reality - contain the seeds of their own destruction?
