Somewhere out there exists a parallel universe where a right-wing political cartoonist made an exact replica of this comic but reversed.

There’s a city in Alaska (I believe it’s Whittier, I could be wrong) where the entire population lives inside of one big building, which also contains a school, a grocery store, and other amenities. If you leave the building and come back after curfew, you can’t get back in until morning.

Someone’s gotta get one of these to The Woz.

Adolescence fucks. I cried during every episode except the first. My God.

I disagree, stand-up isn’t really about, like, proving how funny you are, it’s about putting on a fun show. Anything that makes the audience laugh at no one’s expense is the opposite of hacky, I think.

I hope it has the same tone and story structure as the Mario Movie and the Minecraft Movie.

Rashomon (1950) fucks. The ending is fantastic and I was surprised how much I liked every character in a 1950 movie. It’s funny that all these old ‘human nature’-y Japanese books and movies are like about how shitty humans are and then have one tiny scene at the end like “sometimes they’re okay tho”

Pokemon Red fucks. It’s very charming in a somewhat less sanitized way than the later games in the series. Guyana is canon to Pokemon. I did a poison mono-type run which made it funny whenever an Alakazam went on screen and boss music started playing in my head.

Where I am now is “Al-ki” which translates to something like “by and by” which is way less metal than where I’m from, which is “Ense petit placidam sub libertate quietem,” which translates to “By the sword we seek peace, but peace only through liberty.”

I like it but I think she’d look sportier with a light zip up jacket to go with the swimsuit. It would be a nice contrast to Blue’s muscles too I think.

I can vividly imagine you in a Costco, you’d fit right in.

Bride of Frankenstein was really funny, Frankenstein had a funny voice and some funny lines, and I thought it was funny that in this movie his literal only issue is that he’s really ugly.
Helen O’Loy is meh but weird. The conclusion was a bit rushed but interesting to me.

It’s a silent movie so I listened to it with the Frieren soundtrack and it was wildly out of place. I really liked it though, it holds up way better than I’d expect of a movie from 1927.

It was cool but I don’t have depression so it wasn’t a book I’d remember if I didn’t write it down here. It did move me though, I came out with a bit more empathy and understanding than I had before. Even if I wouldn’t have remembered the book itself, its effect on me would’ve stayed.

I just really like Yokai Watch. It’s so good. This was especially fun because this is the game I played most and I haven’t touched Yokai Watch in years. Manjimutt supremacy, FF14 Manjimutt haters can eat my ass.

Don’t Look Up was kind of reddity in its portrayal of politics, but I felt that it really captured grief super duper uber well. That movie had me by the fucking heart like the entire way through.

It’s by the Teasing Master Takagi-san guy, and it’s really fun, competent, and cute. Only 28 chapters were out when I read it, so it didn’t feel like it was overstaying its welcome, which is a common problem with a lot of this guy’s stuff for me.

I read it on webtoon so I got the censored version, and honestly thank fuck because I read most of it in public. This is another really cute one, and it’s one of my favorite things I’ve read so far this year probably, I think it’s second to Spy x Family.

It’s really cute and charming, I don’t usually like webtoons so this was a really pleasant surprise.

It’s Apothecary Diaries, man. Pretty ladies and cool mysteries.

Such a frank biography of someone’s life is such a valuable and fascinating thing. Solo Exchange Diary in particular really perfectly captures that “one step forward, two steps back” feeling of growing as a person.

It was just so good, it’s so cute but then the intrigue starts and it’s sick.

It’s sick, but I was very disappointed because I started reading because one of the covers had a girl with a really attractive arm and they don’t draw girl arms like that at any other part of the manga. False advertising.

It was adorable, satisfying, and fun. It has episodes with unique plots (for anime), like when Yor has to hide that she got shot in the ass with a gun the night before and is still reeling.

I really like in particular how uncomfy the more sexual and nudey scenes made my cishet ass. Also the colors and vibes were so good and unique.

The Bride of Frankenstein and Helen O'Loy are just okay but I want to remember them.
Don't Look Up, Metropolis, and The Bride of Frankenstein I watched because of class, Helen O'Loy I heard about because of class but read on my own.

I read this as “anyone who loves is my friend without introduction” and I thought it was beautiful and heartwarming for a couple seconds.
