If that sounds like your thing, the Kickstarter ends on Thursday so make sure you check it out before then! You can back it and received a copy of the game for under 20 USD. And if you're not sure, then there's a demo available on Steam.

I got an email notification from our local health department that we have a confirmed case of measles one county over from us. I'm incredibly relieved that my kids have all been able to be vaccinated, but worried for those who haven't.

😂 absolute dick. Among other things, he kept Zimri-Lim's (king of Mari, ally of Hammurabi) army for longer than he said he would and then attacked Z.L. once the troops were sent home!

Not only was this absolutely fascinating, but Dr. Podany's enthusiasm is contagious. If I wasn't already obsessed with Mesopotamia, then I would be after that interview!

Daniel Snell's "A New Workbook of Cuneiform Signs" is also a great resource for this type of study!

That's an amazing book! Like other people have suggested, definitely start by choosing a specific time period; cuneiform changes a lot over the centuries and having a basic starting point of Old Babylonian, or Neo-Assyrian, is really helpful.

I like that idea :D

Rays definitely are awful, and if you ask my mum, Tims are likewise a bit dodgy. I married a Josh, so I'm biased on that one :D

Sure! We're an educational hub working to share research-based information about the ancient world in an engaging and entertaining manner. I specialize in Mesopotamia, but we provide information about Egypt and the wider ancient Near East also.
