Leave it to @xseedgames.bsky.social to include a physical manual. The "Adventure Guide" that comes with #Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana includes a story prologue, character introductions, game tips, and folds out to reveal the map of Felghana along with world lore (see 4th image). Amazing.

The original #TurboGrafx16 release of #Ys I & II came with a physical map of Esteria. The game's re-release for #TurboDuo was far more common since it was a "pack-in" disc, but did not come with an outer box or map, making this an incredibly rare collectible.

#Ys The Ark of Napishtim on #PS2 had fully voiced story scenes. This was added by @konamina.bsky.social during their localization process along with exclusive bonus stages, characters, and unlockables. The game was retconned by @xseedgames.bsky.social in their re-translated 2015 PC release.

#Konami opted to remove the "VI" from The Ark of Napishtim title on #PS2 & #PSP fearing that the lack of series awareness in the West would hinder sales. Removing the VI made it seem like a standalone game. @xseedgames.bsky.social later reinstated the full title for PC.

#Ys I & II are sold separately on Mobile platforms. Strangely... the first game is called Ys Chronicles 1 (number) while the sequel is called Ys Chronicles II (Roman numeral). They are still available today and compatible with some current platforms.

The very first #Ys Demo in the West was Ys: The Ark of Napishtim for #PS2. Pre-ordering #MetalGearSolid 3: Snake Eater back in 2004 would score you this physical demo disc. It had alternate dialogue specifically for the playable portions.

Dark's cloak is made of Cleria, therefore, only Cleria equipment can harm him. In Fact... if Adol doesn't wear all his silver equipment before approaching, Dark mocks him before the final battle.
