Exactly. We've even been seeing errata on old cards to turn several obscure creature types into more universal ones (Naga -> Snake or Cephalid -> Octopus, for example) for the same reason, it's just cleaner for gameplay purposes.

Yeah but it's rare because it's parasitic and limits use cases outside of limited. I suspect when it does or doesn't pop up might have to do with licensing shit, like the BBC making them print "Time Lord" as two words, the only singular creature type in the game with multiple non-hyphenated words.
