Give me some expanded Diddy Kong Racing style single-player in Mario Kart and the long wait will have been worth it.

I could see Metroid Prime 4 having mouse-con support on Switch 2 and that would be a neat bonus to differentiate cross-gen versions besides just a resolution bump or something.

I don’t react to too much nowadays, but I felt like I had to for a new Nintendo console. So here’s 2 mins of me reacting and 15 mins of me speculating about what comes next. youtu.be/8Jo-KfucnaQ?...

Pretty good reveals at TGA overall: Okami, Virtua Fighter, New Naughty Dog IP, New RGG IP, Onimusha. Plus Astro Bot winning GOTY was nice to see too.

A first party Sony studio winning Game of the Year and thanking Nintendo in their acceptance speech is amazing.

Kamiya back and working on Okami is crazy. TGA has had a few really cool reveals.

Seeing that trailer say Virtua Fighter is back made me very happy.

I’m in that weird in between game place. Where I’m waiting for a game coming out soon - Dragon Age: The Veilguard - and I don’t really want to start anything big that I won’t finish before then. But there aren’t really any short games I have to play right now.

I dream of Nintendo calling Switch 2’s HD rumble 4K rumble. I know they’ll probably just say it has improved haptics and feedback or something, but please call it 4K rumble, it’d be hilarious.

@consolevariations.bsky.social Got some cool pics of prototype Nintendo hardware from the Nintendo museum.

Sacred Cards was always my favorite. I loved its structure. But like a lot of people, I was just a big sucker for anything Battle City arc related.

People are posting what they like? Well, off the top of my head - Zelda - Final Fantasy - SMT/Persona - Mario - Dragon Quest - Professor Layton - Donkey Kong - Kirby - Ace Attorney - Danganronpa - Street Fighter - Kingdom Hearts - Mass Effect - Dragon Age - Neir - Metroid - Witcher - Elden Ring

If you see this post, show 4 of your favorite games.

The first Nintendo Direct debuted in 2011. Now let’s take a look at how they evolved through the 2010s and into the 2020s.

The Nintendo Switch Online Playtest is both: 1 - Mysterious 2 - Starting and ending on very interesting dates Let’s analyze it. youtu.be/N672rRihg7Y?...

Former 'Disco Elysium' devs established new studio Longdue which works on “psychogeographic RPG with narrative depth” which continue the legacy of 'Disco Elysium'. www.gematsu.com/2024/10/form...

Alright Nintendo, I’ll try to get in your mysterious online test. But I’m guessing the odds are I’ll never get past the sign-up page before it’s filled.

I like that from now on when waiting for Nintendo Directs and of course Switch 2 — we can say reset the Alarmo — instead of reset the clock.

The Switch 2 will likely be a very straightforward successor, which is why it naturally will be all about the games. youtu.be/oLlGf38xhaE?...

Monolith Soft ready to go ham on Switch 2.

This news had me digging into recent PS4 new game sales and let's just say that this approach is... I'll call it optimistic. PS4's are active, sure. They're Fortnite (1/3 of all active PS4 users played Fortnite in September), Call of Duty, GTAV and Roblox machines. Shrug.

Let’s take a look at the different teams within Nintendo and try to decipher what they are cooking for Switch 2 in 2025 and beyond.

Everything we learned about Professor Layton and the New World of Steam at TGS 2024.

Sam Tanuki Bridges, BMX delivery service.

Ken and Chun-Li coming to City of the Wolves confirmed during SNK’s TGS stream. I knew that collab wouldn’t just go one way.

Just saw this 2.5D JRPG called Threads of Time revealed at the Xbox TGS show and I think it looks amazing.

I watched the Level-5 Vision event live. It was great to see new Professor Layton and the New World of Steam gameplay. I’m excited to see footage of the playable demo at TGS, someone going better play in english and have a friend record over their shoulder. Reaction:

Actually a really good State of Play. Getting Ghost of Yotei as the closer was awesome. But the third-party showing was strong. Lunar remastered and Soul Reaver are hype. Hell is Us and ArchAge looked interesting. Plus DA: Veilguard mage gameplay looked fun.

Good to see SRPGs doing well.

Finished getting the platinum for Astro Bot today. And I agree with all the praise it’s getting. A pure joy. I had a similar reaction to Astro Bot as I did when I first player Super Mario Galaxy. I vibed harder to its soundtrack than any other game in recent memory too.

Top 10 Nintendo franchises that didn’t get a new entry on Switch. youtu.be/sHvQoSfmV50?...

I know a lot of artists are gonna have fun with Batman x Shadow the Hedgehog.

I’m actually blown away how much better I think their product line looks in PS1 grey. I like it so much better than the normal white PS5 lineup.

Grezzo’s done so much work for Nintendo it’s easy to forget Nintendo doesn’t own them. They’ve been a great partner.

Going back and updating a whole trilogy instead of just the newest game is a very respectable move. I’ve been telling myself to finally try an Atelier game for years, one day I’ll get it done.

Nikoderiko is a really fun name to say but I’m real iffy on the character designs. And it looks a little slow in the 2D sections.
